Lake County Sheriff Information
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is committed to serving and protecting the citizens and visitors of the county. The department is comprised of several divisions and units including Administration, Homeland Security Unit, Operations, Office of Professional Standards, Business Office, and the Corrections Division. The Administrative Division is responsible for providing support services and training to all employees of the department. The Homeland Security Unit is responsible for collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to protect the community against any terrorist attack or natural disaster. The Operations Division is responsible in providing first responder police services to emergency situations, investigate incidents of criminal activity, identify and apprehend criminal offenders. The head of the LCSO is Sheriff John Idleburg.
