The Will County Sheriff’s Office provides a variety of law enforcement services to the community through its different divisions which are Enforcement, Corrections, Civil & Court, and Administration. The Enforcement Division is comprised of several sections which include the Patrol Bureau and the Special Operations Bureau. The Patrol Bureau is responsible for conducting preventive patrol in the different areas within the county as well as traffic enforcement and response to calls for service. The Special Operations Bureau is responsible for conducting criminal investigations as well as serving and executing warrants. The Will County Adult Detention Facility is responsible for the care and custody of individuals awaiting trial or serving a criminal sentence of up to a year. This direct supervision facility can house over 1000 inmates. Inmates at this facility are allowed visitation. Each inmate is permitted two 30-minute visits per week. All visitors need to schedule a visit 24 to 48 hours before the actual visit. Appointments are one a first-come, first-serve basis. Visitation is held everyday from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm.
