The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office provides police services to the citizens of the county. This includes enforcing the law, providing courthouse security, serving warrants and other orders of the court, and responding to calls for service. The department also provides assistance to other law enforcement agencies as needed. The department is comprised of several divisions including Investigations, Special Response Team (SRT), and Corrections. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is headed by Lieutenant Karl Gusentine. The division is responsible for conducting follow-up investigations o crimes such as burglary, homicide, rape, and robbery. There are 4 criminal investigators in this division. The Special Response Team is comprised of deputies who are trained to deal with high risk or tactical situations such as hostage situation and terrorist threats. Williamson County Jail Information
The Corrections Division of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for operating and maintaining the county jail. This facility is under the supervision of Jail Administrator Darren Ferrell. It can house up to 244 inmates. The inmates here are allowed to visit with four individuals who are family or friends per visitation day. Visiting hours start at 9am and end at 3pm. On Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the visiting hours start again at 6pm to 8pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, visiting hours are from 9am to 3pm. There is no visitation on Saturdays. Each visit is 30 minutes in length.
