The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for providing police services to the unincorporated areas of the county. The department is comprised of three main bureaus which are the Law Enforcement Bureau, the Corrections Bureau, and the Administrative Bureau. The Law Enforcement Bureau consists of several divisions and units including the K-9 Unit, Forensic Investigation Division, Senior Service Unit, Detective Division, and the Special Victims Unit. The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office operates the county jail. This facility houses individuals awaiting trial, serving sentences up to one year, or sentenced to periodic imprisonment. It has a total capacity of 825 beds. Inmates at the DuPage County Jail are allowed one 30-minute visit per week. Individuals who have Trusty status may receive one 60-minute visit per week.
