The McDonough County Sheriff’s Office oversees the day-to-day operations of the county jail. The McDonough County Jail houses pre-trial detainees and convicted individuals. Inmates at this facility are allowed visitation for up to 30 minutes per week. Visits are held on Saturdays from 8am through 9am for female inmates and 9am through 12pm for male inmates. Visits on Wednesdays from 8am through 10am for male inmates and 10am through 11am for female inmates.
