The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of life and property in the county. It is comprised of several divisions including Civil Process, Court Security, D.A.R.E., Investigations, Patrol, and Records. The Civil Process Division processes court papers for the Sheriff’s Process Servers to serve on individuals residing within Grundy County only. The Patrol Division conducts 24/7 patrol in the unincorporated areas of the county as well as within several municipalities that have contracted with the GCSO for this service. The head of the GCSO is Sheriff Ken Briley.
