The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for providing law enforcement services to the communities in the county. The department is made of several divisions including Administration, Animal Control, Investigation, Patrol, and Correctional Division. The Patrol Division of the KCSO consists of 18 full-time patrol officers that provide 24-hour police protection to the citizens of the county. The Investigations Division is comprised of three full-time detectives who are responsible for investigating various crimes including sex crimes, homicide, robbery, burglary, and felony theft.
