Piatt County Sheriff Information
The Piatt County Sheriff’s Office is comprised of a Patrols and Investigations Division, a Court Security Division, a K-9 Unit, and a Corrections Division. The department is headed by Sheriff David Hunt who serves as the chief law enforcement officer in the county. Chief Deputy Mark S. Mackey serves as the second-in-command in the department. He oversees the daily activities of all the divisions and answers directly to the Sheriff. Jail Superintendent Karla Bell heads the Corrections Division of the PCSO. She oversees the care and custody of all inmates currently housed in the county facility.
