The Wabash County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement services to the whole county including Allendale, Belmont, Cowling, Keensburg, Patton, Lancaster, and Rochester. The department also serves civil process, handles court security, and operates the county jail. In addition, it also oversees persons with court-ordered community service. The WCSO is comprised of three deputies, the Jail Administrator, three corrections officers, an administrative assistant, a full-time custodian, and a court security officer. The head of the WCSO is Sheriff J. Derek Morgan.

The Wabash County Jail houses individuals who have been arrested by local law enforcement agencies. It can hold up to 17 inmates. Inmates here are allowed two 15-minute visits per week. All visits must be scheduled via phone call. Thursday visitation is held from 6pm to 8:30pm. Appointments must be made from 2pm to 4pm on the same day. Sunday visitation is held from 1pm to 4pm. Appointments must be made from 9am to 11am on the same day.
