Bourbonnais, Illinois is a village in Kankakee County, Illinois. The population is 18,631. The county seat of Kankakee County is Kankakee. The village is named for Francois Bourbonnais, a fur trapper, hunter and agent of the American fur Company.

The Chicago Bear of the NFL held their annual summer training cap at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais in 2002 but have since moved to Wisconsin. Bourbonnais is known as the Village of Friendship and has residents that enjoy many different cultures and faiths.
