Buffalo Grove, Illinois is a village in Cook county and within the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The county seat is Chicago and the population is 41,496. One of the major attractions in the Raupp Museum operated by the Buffalo Grove Park District. It is the town’s museum of local history. Saint Mary’s Church, 1899, is the oldest building in the Village. There are two festivals in Buffalo Grove – one is the Invitational Fine Arts Festival that invites over 30,000 visitors on the average. There is also the Buffalo Grove Days Festival that is home to carnival games, roller coaster rides, and arts and crafts booths. A parade is held at the beginning of the festival and fireworks are during the night.
