Glenview Illinois is a suburban village located in Cook County, Illinois. The county seat is Chicago and the city is located about 3 miles north of the city limits of Chicago. The village of Glenview has a population of 44, 692 as of the 2010 census.
The Naval Air Station Glenview was a facility in Glenview until the Base Realignment and Closure restructuring process in 1995. Now the base is part of an area that contains new homes, offices, and shopping centers. The pilot tower and the chapel are the only two remaining buildings from the Air Station and the control tower of the station has been converted to shops.
