Forest Park, Illinois (formerly Harlem) is a village in Cook County, Illinois and a suburb of Chicago. The county seat is Chicago. At the 2010 census, the population was 14,167. There is a Park District of Forest Park located near the center of the village. It is a 15-acre park with an aquatic center. Madison Street in Forest Park features antique merchants, boutiques and restaurants. It was voted by the readers of the Chicago Tribune as the Best Neighborhood Dining the Chicago area. The Village is 10 miles west of the Chicago downtown Loop area.
