Dwight, Illinois is a village located in Livingston County, Illinois. The county seat of Livingston County is Pontiac. In 2010 the population of Dwight was 4,260. Dwight is part of the original U.S. Route 66. It is 80 miles southwest of Chicago. Dwight is home to one of the three banks designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (The First National Bank of Dwight), and well as a Texaco gas station on the U.S. Route 66. The gas station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Dwight is a village that has an old-fashioned atmosphere and friendly residents.
