Mount Prospect has been able to retain its small-town charm while maintaining a closeness to a highly populated city. In 2009 Business Week rated Mount Prospect as the best place to raise kids. Downtown is newly renovated and its graphically designed street banners and display of flowers and landscaping offers a city of hope and charm.
