North Barrington, Illinois is a village in Lake County, Illinois. The count seat is Waukegan and the population at the 2010 census was 3,047. North Barrington is located about 35 miles northwest of Chicago. One of the first homes in North Barrington known as the Kimberly House c. 1857, has a particularly colorful history because it is claimed to have been visited on several occasions by President Theodore Roosevelt, cousin of the Kimberly’s daughter-in-law.
