The Champaign County Sheriff’s Department is in Urbana, Illinois. The Sheriff’s Department employs 50 employees and handles cases related to burglaries, robberies, criminal sexual assaults, and homicides. The corrections department houses 660 prisoners each month and provides security services for in custody inmates during trials. The office handles 40,000 calls for service each year.
